I totally agree! In fact, we had a similar reaction. There’s a good even great sequel hiding here if they would’ve streamlined the narrative. The visuals and O’Hara were highlights for me.
If this movie would have been about Delia dying and having to tap into her creative energies to scare people out of HER house, that's the story I want to see. Let O' Hara shine. You could still even have the Lydia/Astrid storyline. Just cut the fat regarding Theroux, Betelgeuse's ex-wife, Willem Dafoe (even though they're all funny, their storylines just weigh everything down).
