As Perry says in this episode, Lost Highway is everything I was dreading about delving into the films of David Lynch. It’s surreal, nightmarish and moves with dream logic instead of rationality. And as I say in this discussion, if it had been my first experience with David Lynch, it would have probably been my laugh.
But, as you’ll hear, I found this movie haunting me and playing back after my viewing. And this visit to Lynch world over the last year has been one of the most fascinating and rewarding cinematic journeys I’ve taken. I’m excited to keep pressing on.
Also, Perry and I talk about the Oscar Best Picture nominees.
